it is done @ 10:54 pmmoooood: hyper
It's done! I hid the eggs AND wrote notes in sidewalk chalk with my own little furry paws. Tomorrow, we'll see how it goes when the students find the eggs and hopefully get all hopped up on the candy and decide to write to me! I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was fun, I felt like a regular old Bunny rebel! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have an idea... @ 12:33 ammoooood: and determined! muuuusic: the Imperial March
...a sneaky idea that could undermine Easter and the role of EBs in this world. I contacted the Easter Bunny Union. They told me that I couldn't return the eggs I "borrowed". I've so been wanting more recipes, I like to collect them. My parental bunny told me that I should have been a magpie or a raccoon, that recipes are no more silly than shiny objects (wheeeeeeeeee, shiny!) Easter Bunnies have no need of such things, I was told. Well, I'm an Easter Bunny and I need more recipes. I think I'm going to stuff the eggs with my own message, like Healthy Bunny has been doing, only instead of telling people to ruin a perfectly good diet of sweets with a carrot, I'm going to send them here and tell them to join me in a happy hyper cloud of flour. I can see it now, the entire population happily hyped up on spiffy sweets! I don't know when this will happen, I'll have to do it when nobunny will see me and turn me in to DEBA. Be on the lookout, my fellow dessert-connosieurs (I think that's how it's spelled, I'm not much of a connosieur of French, teehee) April 16th, 2006
UH-OH!!!!! @ 03:15 ammoooood: and scared muuuusic: Cops theme song
ut-oh.... I may have made a mistake... but the chocolates looked so good and I forgot my lunch!!!! What else is a cute little cottontail to do but to "borrow" some food from work? I took some eggs, a bunch of eggs and I was going to eat the candy out of them and then put them back in the filling pile, but then Admin told me to go home! What was I supposed to do? I couldn't put them back with somebunny watching me! I'd get in trouble and that would make Easter Bunnies everywhere look bad. I'm a good Easter Bunny, I swear! Now Easter's over for another year so if I put the eggs back they'll be noticed and they could use them to find me! I don't want to get in trouble, I'm a good Easter Bunny, a good good good happy Easter Bunny. Oh, what do I do? August 10th, 2005
another recipe to inspire sharing! @ 11:32 ammoooood: hyper muuuusic: oven timer ding
I know someone has to be reading these posts, so come on, share the wealth!!! If I could get at least one person to send me a recipe, I'm sure others would send some too! Hamantaschen Ingredients: 1 box Duncan Hines Deluxe yellow cake mix 1 cup flour 2 eggs 2 tbsp. water some form of jelly, preserves, or filling Directions: * First mix ingredients well (don't add the stuff the back of the box tells you to!!!!!) * Roll out on floured surface to about one eighth of an inch thick * Cut into 3 inch circles * Place onto a greased cookie sheet (again, I recommend using parchment paper, these especially can get messy!!!!) * Put approx. 1 tbsp filling in middle of the dough circles and pinch cookie into a triangle. * Bake at 375 degrees for 6-10 minutes, or until golden on top. Okay, the deal with these is that I can never get the dough to fold right for me. I've seen others do it, but I always just end up piling dough on top of the filling and pressing the edges down around it. Either way, they taste really really really good. Try using raspberry preserves as filling!!!! or apricot, blech. Undermining Easter? @ 10:08 ammoooood: hyper muuuusic: Twilight Zone theme
Rumor's been traveling through the Bunny Blog system of a possible revolt against DEBA!!!! I can't believe it, can so many people, like my bunny buddy Gloom, really hate Easter so much? Sometimes I'd like more free time just like the next bunny, but I do enjoy my job, mostly. The Administrator is something of a stuck-in-the-bun, but like Briar Rabbit, sometimes you just have to jump in the briar patch to find some good. DEBA is mostly good, sure the pay isn't great, but you get access to some super sweet sweets (yay! alliteration!) I know they tell us not to eat the sweets, but I can't help it, they're my weakness! Sweets make Hyperbun hyped up and happy! (more alliteration!) Besides, if I'm not going to be allowed to work making what I really really really want to make (I'm happiest with flour on my nose!) then making candy and distributing it is the next best thing. I'm still on the fence about this union thing. Until then, I'll just spread the joy the only way I know how - one recipe at a time, ^_^ July 30th, 2005
Somebunny @ 12:06 ammoooood: hyper muuuusic: The Eye of the Tiger
Somebunny has said mean things to this hyper bunny. I think we should all do what we can to make this hopper happier! So, everyone go over to Gloom Bunny's blog and recommend some good treats for the bun. Maybe if we all lend this bunny our support, he will climb out of his depression and once again enjoy the work we do for Easter! I know we can make a difference in this one life. It's my new mission, : ) I WILL make Gloom Bunny as happy and hyper as I am, : ) June 12th, 2005
favorite cookies! @ 11:22 ammoooood: hyper muuuusic: food network on tv!
I decided to share with you my most favortist cookie recipe! Black Forest Cookies Ingredients: 12 oz. chocolate chips .5 cups brown sugar .25 cup softened butter 6 oz. cherry flavored dried cranberries 2 eggs (not pretty dyed ones, but boring raw ones!) 1 tsp vanilla (don't you love the smell?) .75 cups flour (not flower, silly!) .25 tsp. baking powder and, if not allergic, 1 cup pecans or walnuts Directions: * Preheat your oven to ummm... I think it's 350 degrees in your system. * Melt .75 cups chocolate chips for 2 minutes on high (in those microwave thingies) and stir until smooth. * Stir in the brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla * Add flour and baking soda until thoroughly combined * Stir in remaining chocolate, the dried cranberries, and nuts * drop by tablespoonfull onto a cookie sheet (I recommend using parchment paper on top of your cookie sheet to save on cleanup and to keep the cookies from sticking!) and bake for 12-14 minutes. Let them cool on the sheet for a few minutes and then move them to a cooling rack. You can have one or two now, but they'll fall apart when you eat them until you let them cool completely! Also, you might want to make two batches 'cause you'll want to eat all of them! I brought these to the last DEBA company picnic and they were a great success. I hope you enjoy them as much as the gluttons at work (me!) do! March 28th, 2005
Easter is over @ 09:43 pmmoooood: and sad muuuusic: the sound of music - my favorite things
So Easter is over, which makes me a sad Bunny. But I might have a new job at work! The bossbunny (administrator, :-P) was talking about putting me with those in charge of keeping track of what little human children are born this year(and they're breeding like rabbits, teehee) so we know how many Easter Baskets to make! Bossbunny said that this job would keep even me busy, which I don't know if that cottontail meant it as a compliment or not, but new work is exciting! I still wish I could spend more time baking, but this is my career. I have to keep going in this job, or how can I call myself an Easter Bunny? March 25th, 2005
easter, easter, easter... wheeeeeeeeeeee! @ 05:12 ammoooood: hyper muuuusic: Peter Cottontail
It's been two days since I've slept and I'm not tired!!! I found this GreatestJournal thingy while browsing the web waiting for my next shift. I told DEBA that I could work more, that I was fine. I had two whole bags of candy on my break from stuffing eggs. I love Easter. But noooooo, they told me I had to go home and get some sleep, but I'm not tired, I think my supervisor just wanted to get rid of me. That hopper is mean. I'm not tired at all, not not not tired. So I'm writing here and looking for more recipes. Don't tell DEBA, but I like to bake. Candy is nice and everything, makes me happy and awake, but it's not as good as cookies and cakes, that I make myself, 'cause I'm rather good at it. There's this really good chocolate, hazelnut, raspberry cake I'm trying to find a recipe for, but I'm not having any luck, despite having four lucky rabbit's feet, ^_^ Oh well, I have to work in two hours, no time to bake a cake. Easter is in two days and there's lots and lots to do. There are eggs to dye, baskets to weave, candy to make and so much more! I like candy. Sugar is good. I had sooooooooo much candy at work today. Maybe I'll break into my own private stash (my grandbunny sent it to me from Germany!) WAIT!!!! I CAN MAKE COOKIES!!!! What kind of cookies should I make? I can make sugar cookies or chocolate chip cookies or Black Forest cookies or peanut butter cookies or snickerdoodles (yes, they're a cookie!) or oatmeal cookies or chocolate chip oatmeal cookies or pecan cookies. Oh, I can't decide! |
